Hi! My name’s Rachel Carpenter. I’m a seventeen year old girl who is God fearing. I attend First Apostolic Church of Dublin and am currently spending most of my time trying to write my story as God would have me to write it. I want this blog to be a way for me to: one, get a head start on my writing career, two, share my discoveries with you as I delve deeper into my spiritual walk with God, and three, to keep you all updated on the progress of my many written works.
At this time I’m working on writing my first book (The Secret Diary of Esther). However, I sometimes hit a speed bump in my writing process, so I’ve taken to writing other stories, songs, and poetry on the side just to get my creative juices flowing again. The book I’m currently writing is a project that I started two years ago and have been working on in my spare time. A large portion of the book was actually written thanks to OYAN (an amazing writing course for homeschoolers and public schoolers alike)!
I appease my apparent addiction to writing by putting the words to paper (duh). Whether poetry, songs, books, short stories, articles, etc. I can probably be found writing it. I will attempt to keep you all updated on the progress of my writing. I’m going to need some people to keep me focused or my book(s) might go unwritten. Speaking of which, I should get back on that… I hope to see you around!
